ABOUT THE EVENT
"Join Yale NOMAS on Tuesday, March 25th for a conversation with Pascale Sablan, FAIA, NOMAC, LEED AP. We will discuss issues of race and culture in the built environment and the importance of that work in the current sociopolitical climate. We will also talk about Pascale's ongoing SAY IT LOUD project, celebrating diverse designers through 50 exhibitions across the country. That initiative also culminated in her new book, GREATNESS, which celebrates the work and identities of contemporary, diverse designers and their impactful projects.
Pascale is an activist, architect, and CEO of Adjaye Associates, New York studio. She is also the 315th living African American woman registered architect in the U.S. She founded Beyond the Built Environment to empower women and BIPOC designers, and she recently served as the Global President of the National Organization of Minority Architects (2023–2024), becoming the fifth woman to hold this role.
